Fine Lines Racing is a team of children (apart from the odd few) ran by four enthusiastic parents of riders.

All children develop at different stages, our aim is to help them progress without feeling pressured.

We provide a team area which we try to run as much like a factory team as possible to make the kids feel part of something special.

At the end of last year we decided we were going to take this approach as we felt there was far too much pressure being put upon children within race teams and all the fun and enjoyment was being removed.

We have just completed our first full 2011 National Series under the governance of British Cycling where this approach, rewarded us with a fantastic 7th place out of the 30+ teams that entered.

The riders and their families have been superb this year, their training and commitment has been second to none.

It has been a truly successful year for Fine Lines Racing and can we say it is an absolute pleasure to be part of what we have built and become, we are extremely proud.

Which brings us on to the next bit of exciting news, on the back of a very successful year; we now have the commercial backing of,                                                                                              “ Bombshell Racing Components & Avent Cycles USA “

This is a major step forward for us all as a team, we could never have imagined we would be in the position to be sharing our team name with a major player in the BMX world.

The team name for the new season will be known as Fine Lines/Bombshell Racing.

We hope 2012 proves to be just as prosperous !!

For the last two years the whole project has mainly been self funded with the help of a few key sponsors.

We set up Fine Lines Racewear to help cover the costs of Race kits which we supply every rider with. This Brand has become quite well known in the UK and can often be seen at race meetings.

For the 2012 season which starts in January our aim is to provide more support to the riders, not only in the equipment we provide them such as helmets, race pants, tops and gloves, we also plan to provide professional coaching sessions alongside a structured training programme.

The sense of achievement that you gain from seeing rider's progress cannot be brought anywhere.

Like most sports BMX racing is aspirational and children thrive on a positive outlet and participating in a sport is proven to assist in life experience and development.

Next year is a massive year for BMX racing in the UK, we have the Olympics in London where BMX will be shown on the world stage, and then we have the World Championships taking place in Birmingham where a number of our rider's will be competing.

We now realise for the team to progress to the next level we need more financial support.

So that we can continue to be as self sufficient as possible we came up with the idea of this our very own website/shop. Here we hope to be able to sell purely BMX race related products to the BMX community, this is where we feel we are unique in that all proceeds will be channelled straight back into funding the race team, so by you buying from the shop you are in effect helping to provide the support our riders really need.
